Income Tax Exempt Status

According to the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.), The Firelands Computer Club operates as a non-profit organization and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501 (c) (3).

One of the requirements to keep this status mandates that the Firelands Computer Club  make available for public inspection our annual information return, Form 990 or Form 990-EZ, for three years after the later of the due date of the return or the date the return is filed.

The Firelands Computer Club is also required to make available for public inspection our exemption application, any supporting documents, and our exemption letter.

All of these documents are provided for inspection at all public meetings of the Firelands Computer Club. Copies of these documents will be provided upon request.  If you have any questions, please see an officer or contact us by email.

Federal Tax Returns for the past 3 years and exemption letter are available for public inspection at any meeting.  Copies of these documents are also available by written request. Submitted by Bonnie Goodman, Treasurer
