Club Officers and Officials

Maggie Timmons

President

Maggie has been a member of the club since 1995.  She graciously became secretary shortly after joining the club when a vacancy occurred.  She served as secretary until 2000.  Maggie was then elected as Vice-President in March 2002, an office she held off and on through March 2006.  In February 2007, she became Club President when the office became vacant. She stepped down in 2010 to honor the club bylaws that limit President and Vice-President to three consecutive terms, then was re-elected as president in 2011.

Maggie is currently the Newsletter Editor for the club and assists Sally Marcum with the club website.

In her "other life", Maggie is the "chief engineer" at Train-O-Rama in Marblehead, Ohio, http://www.trainorama.net.

Kevin Riley
Vice President

Kevin has now served 3 years as Vice-President and one year as President. He’s been a member since 2005.  Kevin is a realtor at Century 21, a bus driver for Christie Lane and is very active in his church.  Kevin is a great idea guy & an invaluable asset to the Executive Committee and the club in general.

Secretary: Esther Tracht

Esther Tracht
Secretary

Esther joined the Firelands Computer Club in 1998 . She enjoys all the members and the opportunity to learn something new about computers at every meeting. She thinks the seminars are great for all levels of skill in computing.

Esther has been a very active member in the club since she joined. This dedication led to her nomination and eventual election to the position of secretary in March of 2002. She is also the crafter of her famous "Scrubbies"!

Bonnie Goodman
Treasurer & 50/50 Chairperson

Treasurer: Bonnie Goodman
Bonnie, a retired employee of Security Pacific Financial Services (a subsidiary of Bank of America), joined the club in 1999. She accepted the role of Hostess in 2000 where she has made sure we have refreshments at meetings and helped with the Christmas party. In March 2002, Bonnie was elected to the position of Treasurer which she still holds. She is now extremely involved in almost every facet of the club. In late 2004, she agreed to put together a scrapbook of the history of the club.

Bonnie is very grateful to the FCC for the opportunity to learn more about using a pc. She finds the members to be great people and very helpful.

Shirley Hazlewood
Member At Large

Shirley is serving her first term as an FCC officer.  She has contributed a lot to the club already by doing a personal member survey to get program ideas and also contributing her own ideas.  She’s very interested in genealogy.  Shirley is a rural route driver for Norwalk Post Office.

Vance Carlisle
Audio Technician

Audio Technician: Vance Carlisle

Vance stepped up and volunteered to help with the equipment set-up prior to meetings and he has been in charge of our sound system ever since.  He is now a retired driver/salesman for Midway in Monroeville.  When asked, “How are you doing?”  Vance always replies “Fantastic!”  So, we’ve changed that to “Vantastic” ‘cause that’s what he is!

Marlene teaches at Christie Lane School. Marlene lives on a farm with her husband Doyle. Marlene works on her home computer and shares it with the farm records.  She does mending and alterations for anyone and also works part time at the Nifty Needle on Route 250 south of Norwalk.

Marlene enjoys the club and says “I like the answers available to the computer challenged like me and there are lots of nice people in our club.”

Sally Marcum

Sally has been an FCC member almost from the beginning of the club.  She served 3 terms, from   1999 to 2001, as president and is one of our “go-to” sources for building web sites and also for all things pertaining to security.  Sally’s computer skills help her in her home business of selling daylilies.  Check out her web site   http://www.willowbrookacres.com
